The Beginning
Hi I’m Maya Moore and my day started as normal as it could doing school, eating breakfast, then at noon I was asked to leave school because this Mythological creature called the Chimera by the way you don’t want to mess with those things they’re like the devils reincarnated into a Goat’s body, Serpent’s tail and Lion’s head. This girl named Rebecca Paige killed the monster and told me to follow her. We got to where she brought me and I froze because it was this camp full of as they call them Semi-gods which are half human and half God. That night Rebecca gave me a tour and showed me her dagger which she said was Castile iron which is this like strong iron that can kill monsters and not humans if you accidentally chop a human in half. I slept in the house that held the children that have not been claimed by their God parent. I ate at the only table with twenty-five different people at it the other tables only have about ten each. I fell asleep and had a nightmare of course. But I’m not telling you it because you would regret knowing it. The next morning I got claimed and an owl floated over my head it followed me everywhere for about a minute but everyone looked astonished and then Rebecca explained it all. These were her exact words “She broke the rules that is not alright at least we know who you’re mom is but she wasn’t supposed to have you she made this promise that she wouldn’t have kids for four hundred years SHE BROKE THE RULES Zeus is going to be mad and probably try to kill you but don’t freak out I will talk to my mom and ask why she broke the rules again”. Rebecca concentrated very hard to contact her mom at all but just couldn’t and when she stopped she fell over unconscious. She woke up about twenty minutes later and shook her head wondering what had happened. They walked to there cabin and they were the only ones there because they were the only two athena children that they knew of at that moment. I had pizza that night and Rebecca had mysteriously disappeared at the time. No one had seen her in an hour and a half at least and everyone seemed worried and tense. They everyone heard a scream and they could tell it was Rebecca’s. We stopped eating and ran to where we heard the scream and nothing was there we looked everywhere for her and just couldn’t find her when there was another scream the same one the time we got to the spot she wasn’t there they stopped looking and went to their cabins this time May was alone in her nightmare. She saw Rebecca in her dream she looked harmed but she couldn’t tell where she was and she didn’t know who was with Rebecca. She woke with a start and bumped her head on her and Rebecca’s bunk she just sighed and got out of her cabin. She got to her activities and still everybody was tense and worried May still wondering why they were so tense and then she thought Rebecca was their leader but she shook the thought away and went on with her activities. Still no sign of Rebecca until a message came through it was “Z-Zeus”. The sky king as they called him said yes but all Maya could say was “I was just not expecting y-you to be in th-the message” Zeus said that it was urgent and about Rebecca. These were his exact words “She is with the trader that calls himself a half-blood she has done it again and this time it will be her wrath”. What I sat up quickly and thought then I exited my dorm and saw everyone flash glances at me. A young-ish looking kid walked up to me and asked me “how was your day and ignore them they want to make you upset” I sighed and said I was good. He said to follow him and he’ll show me around more, I followed him and we chatted until night. We met at the campfire he sat at Hephaestus table and me of course at the Athenas table.
