I take a seat between Ginny and Hermione. My head has been pounding all morning and we have a defense against the dark arts test today. As I rest my small wrist against my forehead Hermione seems to pick up on my condition.

" is everything all right Claire?"

I thought I heard her say something but everything looks and sounds fuzzy so I don't respond.

A whoosh of new pain rushes through the scar on the back of my neck. I got that scar when I was a baby when my parents sacrificed themselves for me when Voldemort used the imperial curse on them. He was the one who gave me that scar. But no one knows I have it.

The sharp pain makes it hard to muffle a small yelp of pain.
Now Hermione knows something is definitely wrong.

My palms start to sweat slightly and my hands start to tremble. Something is definitely wrong. My scar has hurt before but never this bad.

All I can make out is a small plea, " help" I whisper hoping someone heard my cry. Then the black overtakes my vision completely and I lose conscious.
