Lil and Arekusa crept slowly towards the noise. When they finally found it, they saw a dying mother, with her baby in her arms. "Please... Take her... Before you do... Let me hold her... One... Last... Time... Name her... May Irene be with you girls forever and always..." The woman's breathing was ragged, and sounded like she needed more air. Then, she wasn't breathing at all. Lil slowly crept up, and took the baby, and looked at the mother. "May our Lady Irene guide your spirit and soul from this life to the next. I'll take good care of your girl, in your memory." Arekusa looked at a bracelet the mother wore. "Her name's Selene." Lil smiled. "Then this baby is Silena Amythest. Silena for her mother, and Amythest for the beautiful violet eyes she has. They differ from my red, in the perfect ways." Lil hugged the baby close, and sung a lullaby from years before to Silena. While Lil was comforting the baby, Arekusa was getting out her weapon, and going into the trees. When Arekusa was gone, there was a scream, and a clatter of a sword. Holding Silena, Lil ran towards the sound. On the ground was a bleeding man, who seemed to be a friend of Arekusa's. She muttered her sorrys to him, as Lil decided to take charge. "Sir, what's your name?" He grimaced, and said, obviously in extreme pain, "B-Ben..." Lil smiled. She knew what this injury called for. "Well Ben, could you hold this while I get things to help that little... stab wound?" Ben nodded, and Lil handed him Silena. She gathered a Hyacinth berry to extract the poison, three blades of grass from under the dead mother, and some water from the bubbling creek nearby. She put the poison in a vial she had, and then put in the grass and creek water. She conjured some Nether Fire and after 30 seconds, gave it to the man. "Drink this while I bandage the area." He drank the odd medicine, and almost instantly healed enough to stand while Lil bandaged him. He sighed. "So... Is this a baby or something?" Arekusa said from a bit away, "No, Ben, it's obviously a mutant blanket. Of course it's a baby, you idiot!" Ben used his free hand to facepalm. "I meant, is it her baby?" Lil shook her head. "She is mine, as of five minuted ago, but she's adopted. Since this is obviously a question and answer game, I have a question for you. How do you know Arekusa?" He looked at Arekusa, and said, "We used to live in Meteli. She ran off a while ago, I just now came along to join her." Lil shook her head. "Well, here neither of you have a home, so you can stay with me at Akima, my sister's, house. I'm sure she won't mind." They navigated through the town, until she found Akima's place. They all unpacked and settled in, while Lil went off to make dinner.
