Chapter 7
Chapter 8
"Mrs. Potter agreed to meet us there, to help you get through the barrier, whatever that means, so we'll be leaving soon." I said, "Oh, and no need to carry your things out to the car Jackson's agreed to do it."
"Okay." Thomas said, looking up from his book.
I walked out to the car, where Jackson had just put everything in the trunk. He was leaning against the hood of the car, lighting a cigarette. I stopped right beside him. He took the now-lit cigarette out of his mouth and cupped his hand around my face and kissed me.
I giggled, "There'll be plenty of time for that once Thomas is gone."
"I know, I'm just getting a head start." A grin broke out across his face.
His chocolate brown eyes were glittering, and his almost-black hair falling across his face. He was by far the most attractive man I've ever met.
"I suppose we'd better go know." He said after a moment.
I snapped out of the trance I was in, "Yes, yes, I suppose so. Thomas! Time to go!" I called to the house.
