"Don't forget to smile!" I told the small boy, through gritted teeth. He looked up at me and scowled.
"Why do we have to do this?" He asked rottenly.
"We're doing this to show your aunt and uncle that we're not complete freaks." I replied.
"But we are complete freaks."
"Yes, but we mustn't let anyone else know."
He looked away and scowled, "I don't want to hide."
I dropped down to my knees, to get my eyes level with his, "You are going to act like a normal person for one day. One day. That's all I ask. If you do this for me, I'll let you go to that stupid wizarding school. Alright?" This was the last straw. If he didn't behave, well I don't know what I would do.
He swallowed and nodded slowly, "Yes, mother." I could see the fear in his eyes. I hated to do this.
I straightened his shirt, and flattened his hair down. I stood up, and walked to the door.
