Team Coach 1753-1771

Elmer P. Grace was a local businessman and Quidditch enthusiast tired of having to make the long trip South-West to Falmouth every weekend to see League Quidditch. This love of his local land mixed with his lack of willingness to travel inspired him to found the club. He ploughed his money into the club to set it up, bringing in young players from other top clubs like the Appleby Arrows as well as recruiting promising local amateurs.

  In his 18 years as coach of the team he won 5 League titles, including 3 in their first 6 years of existence, making him one of the most successful coaches in British Quidditching history.

Born: 1818 in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England

Team Coach 1860-1870

Florence Jacqueline made history by becoming the club’s first female head coach in 1860. Even more impressively she became only the second female coach to win a League title when the Cannons were surprise victors in 1864 after a 20 year drought.

  Jacqueline was never able to recreate her success of ’64 and she retired from the game in 1870 to concentrate on her other passion, magical fungi.

Born: 1833 in Plymouth, Devon, England

Team Coach 1883-1903

Rowbotham was one of the club’s most successful coaches during his early career and the last to take his team to the top of the League table. An entitled Devonshire man, Rowbotham won the last of his 3 League titles in 1892, but continued as head coach for another decade as the club’s performances gradually declined resulting in his resignation in 1903.
