Pagan Magick - Motivation Spell

Chapter 14

Some of us want to try our best but get stressed easily or procrastinate to the point of having no motivation at all - when this happens you can use this spell to make you passionate and willing to work again!

Candle Spell for Motivation

What You'll Need:

  • an orange or purple candle
  • a tool to carve the candle with
  • cardamon, bergamont, coriander, fennel, cinnamon, citrus, or frankincense oil (olive oil can be used)
  • a piece of carnelian stone

Start by carving the candle. Carve the word “motivation” as many times as you can fit onto the candle.

Anoint the candle with the oil. Light the candle and hold the stone in your dominant hand. Focus on the weight, texture and energy of the stone. Breathe deeply and focus on your intention. Watch the candle flame. Imagine the candle itself as fatigue, laziness, apathy, self-doubt, fear, and/or whatever it is that may be holding you back. The flame represents your energy, will, determination, and motivation, burning down the candle wax. As the flame burns away the wax, it feeds off it. The flame is stronger, replacing the fatigue with energy, the laziness with motivation, and the doubt with ambition. Visualize the flame consuming those negative traits, allowing you to grow stronger. When you’re ready, say the following:

“Graceful Flame, I call upon thee
to bring me a healthy dose of energy.
Help me direct my focus on motivation,
and transition my laziness/self-doubt/fear to ambition.
As I will it, so shall it be.”

Allow the candle to burn itself out and carry the stone with you.
