Potions of my Own Design
written by Catherine Desrosiers
This book is recipes of my own design for my personal recollection. Most of these potions are highly experimental, and I do not recommend anyone trying them. It's as finished as I can get, for now. School stuff keeps getting in the way, sadly.

Tempting Kiss Potion
Chapter 7
I got this idea a few days ago, thinking about using an Amortentia potion on someone. This adapted version of Amortentia, while having a consistency more of lip balm than lipstick, is capable of being absorbed through the skin. Such as, with a kiss. However, the potion can't get through anything blocking it, such as lipstick, chapstick, lip balm, etc. The potion has a bright red color once finished.
Ingredients:
Purified water, 4 ounces
Fluxweed, two bunches- finely crushed
Lovage pollen - 2 drams
3 lovage seeds, whole
Bloodroot, 3 roots- split lengthwise, scrape inner membrane out
Apple cider, 8 ounces
Lionfish heart, minced
Griffin dandruff, 1 dram
1 drop of Unicorn's Blood
7 frozen ashwinder eggs
Instructions:
1. Warm water until just before boiling.
2. Crush fluxweed with mortar and pestle, add to water. Allow to come to a brisk boil.
3. Add lovage pollen, stir until dissolved.
4. Potion should take on a light golden colour.
5. Stir slowly, alternating clockwise and counterclockwise stirs
bring potion back up to a boil and allow to simmer 5 minutes
6. Add inner membrane ONLY of bloodroots; do NOT include the tough outer membrane of the root!!!
7. Add apple cider, lionfish heart, and ashwinder eggs; potion should take on an iridescent sheen and a light pink to purple cast
8. Add griffin dandruff and simmer until your potion takes on a deep pink to red sheen.
9. Bring your cauldron back down to a simmer
10. Add the single drop of unicorn blood to your potion
11. When the unicorn blood touches the potion, it should suddenly changed color to the bright red color.
12. Stir until it is well blended into the potion
13. After about 15 minutes, the potion should start thickening quickly.
14. I used an empty lipstick bottle to contain it.
Be careful. Be sure to use protective gear so it has no chance of touching your skin. When you put it on, be sure to have fresh chapstick, lip balm, or another lipstick on. The potion also acts as a powerful aphrodisiac, which should make it all the more easier to get close.
