Potions of my Own Design
written by Catherine Desrosiers
This book is recipes of my own design for my personal recollection. Most of these potions are highly experimental, and I do not recommend anyone trying them. It's as finished as I can get, for now. School stuff keeps getting in the way, sadly.

Marked Potion
Chapter 5
This potion places a Dark Mark on someone wherever they want it. It has the same properties as a normal mark, but it's much less painful than magically branding them. Also, if a person already has a Dark Mark, the Mark will glow brightly, going through even the thickest of armor. Perfect for revealing Dark Wizards or making new ones.
Ingredients:
Basilisk Eggshell
Blood from each of the Houses (50 milliliters each)
Blood of a Dark Wizard (200 milliliters)
This potion can ONLY be brewed when a Dark Mark is in the sky.
Instructions:
1. Mix all the blood together for about a half an hour, by hand. No magic shortcuts.
2. Grind the Eggshell to a small powder and add to the mixture. Use protective gloves for it, as the eggshell is like broken glass.
3. Take off the heat and ferment the potion somewhere dark.
4. After thirty days, bottle the potion.
This potion has an expiration date of twelve days, at best. Blood is no longer good after 42 days.
