Sorting Hat
Chapter 2
Finally out of the train, Nikki breathed in the fresh air, “Ah.. it’s so magical..” Nikki was enjoying the breeze and then suddenly got pulled on the arm by Dakota and Rain, “Come on! Let’s go!” The girls were loaded onto a small four seater boat but only the three girls sat in it. Nikki groaned, "I don’t like this…” Then she saw the squid, “Ooh that’s more like i-” She unexpectedly got splashed by Dakota. “Hey!” Dakota giggled. Nikki put her hand in the gleaming water for a mere second, then splashed Dakota quickly and some of the water sprayed on Rain while she was laughing, “Um.. GURLL.. No.” Her face was grim and then she couldn’t hold that straight face and started laughing earning them a lot of stares for a short while. Rain splashed a bunch of water on Nikki. They ended up soaking wet. Someone used a hot air charm and they dried up.
They were all huddled with many more first years, it was very squished and Rain was claustrophobic and made a scene, “AHHH!!!!” She yelled pushing through everybody. “HELP I AM TRAPPED!!! AHHH!!!” Then she fell on the floor. “Oh my gosh Rain shut up..” Nikki slapped Rain’s face a little. “You are making a scene..” She said in a hushed tone. Rain opened her eyes a little, “Well I live to make scenes.. DON’T TOUCH MEH!” This was too much for Dakota and she started snickering which later turned into guffaws, “Yo-you guys are just like twin sisters.. HA.. HA.. HAAAA!” Nikki and Rain blankly stared at Dakota, “Umm.. we are twin sisters..” Dakota laughed, “I know.. I was jok-” She got interrupted by the professor, “Ok, well that is over.” She wiped her hands together. “Now friends! For the sorting to begin!”
A bunch of names were called but Nikki, Rain and Dakota were all still snickering over their mess up. They were finally brought back to life when Dakota’s name was called. “Cherri, Dakota.” She walked up to the stool very goofy. The professer muttered under her breath, “Nitwit..” Dakota was calm and ignored the rude comment. The hat was barely on her head when she was getting sorted, it almost seemed scared. It called out with a high pitched voice, “SLYTHERINNNN!” There were many claps and Dakota proudly walked with her head held high to the Slytherin table. She winked at Nikki and Rain. Waiting for their names to be called, Nikki and Rain played chopsticks. (You have to know that game if you are American XD.) Finally Nikki’s name was called, “Macaroon, Nikki.” Nikki shyly walked to the stool pulling her hair. She wanted to be with Dakota but not in the same house as her brother.. The sorting hat was finally set on her head. It was just plopping there and it said, /You are a very sweet and loyal girl.. But cunning and fiesty too.. hmm .. hmm.. Hmm.. I shall put you in../ “SLYTHERIN!” Dakota smiled at her and when Nikki was finally seated she earned many greetings. She would talk to them after she eagerly waited to see what house Rain would be in. It called out loudly after five seconds, “HUFFLEPUFF!” There was one new person who really stood out to her.
