The Train

Chapter 1
Nikki and Rain were running to platform 9¾, “Come on we’re gonna be late!” Rain called to Nikki and their mother. Then Nikki pulled her slow mother’s cold hand, “You don’t want us to be late, do you?” Nikki glimpsed Rain running through the wall leaving without them so she dragged her mum and ran with her two cats and luggage.

They were at the platform, the Hogwarts Express hadn’t left yet but they could hear the whistle blow signaling that the train would leave soon. Nikki threw her luggage into the train car and grunted. The train was about to start moving and she jumped on with help from her sister’s hand. They called out in unison, “Goodbye Mum! Love you!” Rain blew kisses while Nikki put out her hand in a peace sign, “Later!”

The girls were looking for a compartment but there was none for just the two of them. They finally found one with just one girl with bright red hair, it looked really familiar to Nikki but she just ignored it. Little did they know it was their old family friend. They decided they would squeeze in and Rain said, “I’m sorry I-I hope you don’t mind-” The girl picked up her head and smiled. “Hey Rain, Nikki..” Nikki and Rain practically jumped over the table hugging the girl. “DAKOTA!!!” Nikki screamed with one single tear of joy running down her cheek. “We missed you so much Dakota,” Rain said smiling warmly with her hands shaping a heart.
