Butterbeer

Chapter 2

Butterbeer

A favourite dish of many students, Butterbeer can be made quickly and easily with the simplest of muggle ingredients.

This recipie makes 6 servings.


Ingredients:

1) 6 12 oz. bottles of chilled Cream Soda

2) 3 teaspoons or 1 tablespoon of imitation butter flavouring

3) 2 cups of heavy cream

4) 6 tablespoons of sugar or splenda

5) 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

6) 1 and 1/2 seperate teaspoons of imitation butter flavouring


Instructions for the Butterbeer:

1) Put out 6 16 oz. glasses.

2) Put 1/2 a teaspoon of imitation butter flavouring at the bottom of each glass.

3) Pour 12 oz. of Cream Soda into each glass over the butter flavouring.

4) Lightly stir.


Instructions for the foam:

1) Use a bowl and mixer and whip the heavy cream on medium high speed for 3-4 minutes until it starts to thicken.

2) Add in the sugar and stir for another 3-4 minutes until very soft peaks start to appear.

3) Stir in the vanilla extract and 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of butter flavouring and mix for another 30 seconds.

4) Spoon a large amount of the foam into each glass and serve immediately. You can also freeze it for a delicious frozen Butterbeer!
