Lila Lavender was always humble, kind, bold, and amazingly intelligent. When she received a Hogwarts letter, Lila almost fainted with excitement. Both of her parents were Squibs and her grandparents on both sides were half-bloods, so it was unlikely to receive the power. But she did, and it was incredible!
On the train, she sat with Eva Macdaniels who was later to be sorted into Hufflepuff. Eva had bright red hair and a huge smile she wore everyday.
"What's your name?"
"I'm Lila."
"You seem like a Hufflepuff! My sisters and two cousins are in Hufflepuff."
"My bigger brother's in Gryffindor, my bigger sisters who are twins are in Ravenclaw, and my aunt and uncle were in Hufflepuff! Oh, and one of my cousins were in Slytherin. My parents were in Hufflepuff"
"That's a strange mix, Lila. I'm Eva, Eva Macdaniels. Proud soon-to-be badger!"
They laughed.

At Hogwarts, Lila found it hard to keep still. What if she was sorted into Slytherin? She wanted to be in Hufflepuff, so she could be with Eva, but Hufflepuff was underrated and mistreated. What about Ravenclaw?
"Lila Lavender!"
My eyes widened and I gulped as I sat down on the stool and the Sorting Hat was placed on my head.
"Hmmm... Lavender, eh? You got mixed heritage... Hmmm... Huff- Sly- Gryff- Raven- I don't know!"
