In Honour Of Valentine's Day - Poem
Chapter 1
Your favourite flower, pink, red, or rose,
A reminder of my love for you, and our bond grows,
Your favourite box of chocolates, covered with many bows,
A sweet way to show affection, and the red ocean overflows.
Cupid, the matchmaker, flies through the sky,
Looking for new victims, his arrow to try,
He sees us together and shakes his head,
"This couple's too muddled in love so I won't give a care..."
I stare into your eyes before closing my own,
Time to relax and stay in my zone,
But thoughts start bouncing about my mind,
And someone pops up, someone one of a kind.
My sister,
Laughing,
Singing,
Dancing,
With me by her side.
I smile,
And stand up,
Romance was one thing,
Sisterhood was another...
But they were both filled with love.
And today,
I woke up and started writing,
For Valentine's Day was yesterday,
But love went on forever, always.
