Eating Habits
Chapter 4
No one knows (except Albus Dumbledore, of course, who owns a Phoenix -- see 'Appearance') what this bird eats.
It is known, however to eat smaller birds, and perhaps larger ones such as the Gryph or Griffin. As crazy as it may sound, some believe that the Phoenix eats dragons. This hypothesis is backed up by the fact that wizards and witches have found many dragon corpses completely stripped of their flesh.
Others say that it eats fire. This could be possible, though, considering the bird itself is composed of flames. Others believe that the Phoenix feeds off of joy and happiness, causing everyone to be full of joy. This however, cannot be proved nor disproved.
I am aware that this is a short chapter, but there's not much you can do about eating habits, right? I'll see you all later!
