Chapter 3
A Phoenix (sometimes pronounced phenix) is a "mythological" bird that is cyclically reborn (some prefer the word "regenerated" do to beliefs) It was first born from an egg brought to the Egyptian city of Heliopolis. This mysterious egg was made of myrhh, however, the origin of the egg itself is unknown.
This bird is associated with the Sun. It obtains new life by rises from the ashes of its predecessor (a thing that has been followed or replaced by another / a person that held a job or office before the current holder)
The Phoenix is known to die by spontaneously combusting, or randomly going up in flames. However, others believe that it simply dies and decomposes before being born again. This bird could potentially live up to 1,400 years before being reborn.
The Phoenix could, according to some sources, symbolize different aspects of Christian life. It is, more than ever, a remarkable symbol for life and protection.
