Magic de most eville [ Collections from the Mythical Book of Dark Magic ]
Chapter 9
Throughout the years, the Dark Arts have secretly developed away from the scrutiny of the Ministry of Magic and their pesky Aurors. The only reason they're trying to thwart our efforts to seek more power and do greater things, is because they're afraid of what we can do. They're afraid we'll become stronger than they are, and then they would not be able to control us with their pointless rules anymore. But many of us have found ways to continue performing our magic and the things we're actually capable of doing when we really put our minds to it. There is a way to achieve anything and everything in this world. After all, we do have magic. These new important findings are all recorded in this book. So that they will never be lost, and so that the world will always have this knowledge, even if only few people may find it.
"Shifty Shadows"
Now that you have entered the realm of the dark arts, it will be hard for you to turn back. If you have the feeling you may not be able to act upon the upcoming spells and potions, then I suggest you get rid of the book immediately. This book isn't for the faint of heart. This book is for those who seek power and control beyond what you might find in ordinary wizarding books. This book contains a darker magic which will stretch the limits our society has tried to place on witches and wizards for many centuries. If however, you are ready to unleash a new side of yourself and are willing to face a little unpleasantness, please read on.
One of the necessities of dabbling with dark magic, is to have someone, or should I say something, watching your back for you. We call these entities shifty shadows. You can conjure up one or many, but remember they are never fully under your control, so be wary of surrounding yourself with too many or you may find yourself at their mercy.
To create your own shifty shadow, wait until the full moon and take 1 lock of your own hair, a single dose of memory essence, 6 of the blackest raven tail feathers you can find and the strained juice of a rotten pumpkin. Bring these ingredients to a boil in your cauldron and then simmer over low flame until the liquid is almost entirely evaporated. Drink the entire contents and repeat the following incantation.
Shadows from the darkest places
send me one to match my paces
follow me and watch my back
from those that may launch an attack
This will act as an attachment ceremony and the shadow will follow you until the time you wish to dispose of it. Your powers will increase the longer the shadow follows you but it does come at a price. It should be noted that the longer the shadow is with you, the harder it will be to become unattached from it. This is because it will slowly become a part of you.
Shifty shadows can be extremely useful and keep you company while you toil away to perfect your magic. Be aware that they may try to persuade you into doing things you might otherwise never consider. They are among the darkest creatures to be found, and you would be wise to use them to your advantage, but never reveal too much of your plans to them. We will go over several other uses for shifty shadows in later chapters. We will also show you how to properly attach the shadow to other individuals to sap their energy and how to properly dispose of them when you have had your fun!
"Extra Eyes"
When dabbling in the darker arts, you will want to be as prepared as possible. There are some things you can do, in order to create a more secure environment for yourself. These same security measures can also be used to gain information and ultimately become an added source of power. While you may not be capable of being everywhere at once, there are ways to keep an eye on multiple places.
We are providing a potion and an incantation in order to produce extra sets of eyes. These eyes will be under your command and can be used to store information and to "keep an eye" on things when you can't personally be there to take care of that.
These extra eyes, can be tricky and can quickly turn on you. While they might serve you faithfully as spies for weeks, one small misstep and they can turn into evasive bothersome watchers that direct themselves.
These extra sets of eyes have been used for centuries by dark wizards. Some have even been rumored to attach these extra eyes to living creatures in order to better serve themselves, but we won't be delving into that until later chapters.
These creepy peepers are meant to serve you so, be sure to place an authoritative jinx on these extra eyes at least twice a month (once a month if under a full moon).
Inviting Eyes Incantation
Seek seek and you shall find
Come to me now and we shall bind
work as one and you will be
my extra set of eyes to see.
"Blood Rites: The Bonding of Darkness"
For those Dark Wizards who have chosen to continue the journey to true power, the previous lessons have simply been a taste of the magic to come. There is still a chance to back out now; I wouldn't blame you, although those shadows you summoned might.
For those who are still reading, there will be no more warnings. Once you perform your first blood rite, there is no turning back. The Dark Magic will consume you, making you more powerful than ever before, but you will be a servant to the darkness.
A blood rite is a symbol of power. Only the most dangerous and powerful spells require the sacrifice of blood for their casting. The first such rite is the most important as well; The Bonding of Darkness. Prepare yourself for the power of darkness rushing through your veins, filling you with magic. All it costs is your blood.
If you are intent on performing this ritual, the first step is to create a pentagram large enough to stand in. I personally suggest goat entrails nailed into the floor of a dark attic. Only those with truly dark minds will succeed, and not only that, but it is important to keep up your dark presence or the spirit of darkness will not join with you.
Once the pentagram has been drawn or created, the blood must be sacrificed. Using a silver dagger prepared with spells of darkness, slash the palm of your wand hand allowing blood to flow freely. This blood must be spread to all points of the star of the pentagram. When the final point is coated with blood, the following incantation must be chanted:
Lord of darkness, come to me,
Bind me in your power,
Use me in your evil plans,
From this midnight hour.
The chant will continue until the dark spirits heed your call. Do not cease chanting or your punishment will be most severe, and you will lose your chance at true power. Once successful, however, you will have power beyond your wildest dreams. This power will be used in further chapters if it is desired, as spells darker than the midnight sky shall be at your fingertips.
"Voodoo-That Old Black Magic"
Nowhere in the world is more synonymous with voodoo than New Orleans, Louisiana; the city wears its shroud of mystique with honor and its cloak of darkness with pride. It boasts perhaps the most famous Voodoo priestesses as one of its native daughters, for who could speak of voodoo without speaking also the name of Marie Laveau. And yet, voodoo itself has roots far deeper than Marie, and more far-reaching than New Orleans. Let us take a peek into its past to better understand its power, shall we?
Voodoo is an ancient practice, dating back almost 6,000 years. It can be traced back to the West African kingdoms of Fon and Kongo, which encompass parts of modern-day Ghana, Togo, and Benin. The word 'voodoo', in fact, is a derivative from the Fon language meaning 'spirit' or 'deity. In addition, the word 'mambo', which is the traditional term for a priestess of the voodoo persuasion, is a combination of the Fon word for 'mother' and the Kongo word for 'healer'.
Around 1510, the slave trade began, taking many captives to the West Indies where they were forced to not only suffer the indignity of working on the plantations but even more atrocious, perhaps, was the forced conversion to Christianity. Under penalty of death, the slaves were forbidden to practice their religion, and yet they soon recognized the many similarities between their own beliefs and that of Roman Catholicism, and found ingenious ways of melding the two into one, using heavy influences from the more 'accepted' Christian rituals to supplement their own forbidden ones. When the trade expanded to the New World, they took these adapted practices with them.
Spirits, always a big part in the belief system, were given the name of Catholic Saints, and Catholic traditions such as baptism, the sign of the cross, the Lord's Prayer, the Hail Mary, and the Holy Rosary were given equal importance with the more traditional elements such as voodoo dolls, poppets, charms, and the like. This eventually evolved into the voodoo we are more familiar with today. And let us not forget the ever important Li Grand Zombie (a snake deity), a central figure in many voodoo rituals.
We would be remiss not to give a brief accounting of Marie Laveau; her spirit almost demands it. Marie was born in New Orleans in 1794 where she worked as a hairdresser by day, a mambo at night. She was said to be a devout Catholic, attending Mass daily, and was as much known for her compassion and kind spirit as her powerful magic. Make no mistake, Marie was not one that you would want to cross, but she healed as many people as she ever harmed, perhaps more if truth be told. She died in 1881, and to this day, crowds flock to her tomb, leaving offerings to secure her favor.
We shall conclude this chapter with a voodoo love spell that would make Marie herself proud..enjoy!

"Horcrux: The Ultimate Evil"
The dream of every dark wizard is to be immortal. To evade and fool death. To always remain on the face of earth. To maintain the power that no one can vanquish. However, immortality comes at a great price. Death is something no one should tamper with, not even dark wizards. But if, however, your desire to be immortal is too strong, you may proceed. But, you're reading this on your own risk.
Horcrux in simple words, is an object where someone has encased a part of their soul. So even if one part of the soul of that person concealed in a body get destroyed, a part of it still remains, binding the person to this earth. A person who has made a horcrux can never die till all their horcruxes have been destroyed.
On reading this, it might seem easy. Make a horcrux and you're immortal. Yes, that's true. Making a horcrux does render you immortality but it is not easy. Splitting your soul is a very very risky business. To make a horcrux, it is essential to perform the ultimate act of evil: Murder. It is indeed the ultimate act of evil but dark wizards can utilise it to their benefit. On killing a person, point your wand at that person and say the incantation 'Horcrux Aedifico'. Thereafter, point the wand at your chest. A silver light will emerge from your chest. Point your wand at the object which you want to make a horcrux. The silver light will thereafter enter the object. However, the moment the silver light emerges from your chest, you will experience a pain greater than the worst Crucio you've ever encountered. Because, the silver light is a part of your soul. By committing the ultimate act of evil and performing the spell, you RIP your soul apart in 2 pieces. The object in which the silver light enters is your horcrux.
True, you're now immortal but only till someone destroys your horcrux and the part of the soul in your own body. The moment a person destroys the part of soul in your body and the horcrux, you will indeed die.
After making a horcrux, your appearance will worsen. Keep making more horcruxes and your appearnce will become more gruesome.
If the part of the soul encased in your body gets destroyed, you will still be binded to the earth by your horcrux. However, you will feel like you don't exist. Existence in this form is pathetic. You cannot exist properly without possessing someone or finding a servant to brew a regeneration potion for you to make a body. For dark wizards, the more horcruxes, the merrier. However, actually, the less, the merrier. Because the more horcruxes you make, the worse your soul becomes. It will eventually be so fragile that just killing a person will rip it apart and make the only living soul around a horcrux.
Henceforth, we would therefore like to outline that horcrux is temporary immortality. Existence in such a form is gruesome. Therefore, making horcruxes is not advisable. The only way to mend your soul or to bring back the torn pieces together is remorse or regret. But if you've made more than 1 horcrux, do not even try this. For this would mean... death.
"The Unforgivable Curses Part 1"
The Imperius Curse
The next couple of chapter you will learn about what the Three Unforgivable Curses are. There are a few things you need to know before we go any further. One, these curses are not for the weak skilled. Just like the other dark magic you have been learning about, these curses have many consequences if either not performed correctly or you get caught. In order to perform theses curses you need to have great skill, and concentration.
The Imperius curse.
The Imperius Curse is one of the three Unforgivable Curses. When a witch or wizard cast this curse correctly, it places their victim completely under their control. There is one thing you need to consider. Your victim may be able to resist this curse, but only if they have a very strong mind or is capable of resisting. This curse is the only one out of the three that a victim can resist.
When you cast this curse successfully your victim will feel a very tranquil and trance-like feeling. Their ability to feel responsibility and anxiety has vanished. They will almost be in a hypnosis-like state. Your victim will then be subjected to do whatever the caster wants. This means the victim under the curse can be made to do all sorts of things even crimes ranging in difficulty. Another special thing about this curse is the victim will also be given the skill to do whatever the task they are given. They are only able to get that skill when under the curse. If you cast this curse poorly your victim could end up with permanent damage. An example would be if you poorly cast this curse your victims memory can become shuffled or they could go extremely mad from the extreme dark magic.
Resisting this curse takes heavy will power and extreme strength. Resisting this curse is very similar to Occlumency but takes a lot more character. Many witches and wizards don't have the will power nor strength to resist such dark magic. That is why it isn't very common or heard of wizards and witches resisting this curse. It is possible for for a witch or wizard that has been placed under this curse, to be able to perform the curse. It is like since your body has experienced it, you are then able to perform it easier then a witch or wizard who hasn't experienced it at all.
"The Unforgivable Curses Part 2"
The Cruciatus curse.
Also known as The Torture curse, it is the ultimate torturing tool of every dark wizard or witch. Muggles have many methods and devices for torturing people, but for wizards, this is the only thing we need. There is not much effects that cause more agony then the Cruciatus curse, with only exceptions probably being creating of a horcrux, and making your soul whole again.
This curse is, actually, very much alike with the Killing curse, that will be covered in next chapter, since it cannot be negated and it leaves no physical evidence on the victim. Reason for that is that it stimulates specifically pain receptors in human body, and nothing else, making it really hard for victims to prove that they have actually been under Cruciatus. Since it does all its work on pain receptors, the effect of Cruciatus can spread to the whole nervous system, finally causing some serious mental disorders to the victim that was under
Cruciatus for too long, consider this a warning, since you will probably want your victim to be able to feel the pain all the way.
When it comes to performing this curse, it is very simple, but not easy. Incantation is “Crucio”, and wand movement is very simple, which leaves you with one problem, and that is your will to hurt someone. Without a certain dose of sadism and pleasure in causing pain, your curse will have absolutely no effect, except maybe knocking your victim down. Believe it or not, this problem, if you have it, can be easily removed simply by PRACTICE.
Throughout the history, this was probably the most popular of the three unforgivable curses. The Cruciatus curse was invented during the early Middle Ages, by dark witches and wizards. The curse was created for torture purposes, but has also been used effectively in duels. One of the earliest mentions of this curse is in “The Tales of Beedle the Bard”, where Babbitty threatens the muggle king with it: “Henceforth, every stroke of harm that you inflict upon my fellow witches and wizards will feel like an axe stroke in your own side, until you will wish you could die of it!” It is very likely that Beedle described Cruciatus curse here, so we can see that in 15th century it has already been widely spread and known. The curse was still legal back then, and it was banned in 1717. by the Ministry. That, of course, means that nowadays you get one way ticket to a life in prison if you get caught performing it.
I won’t bother writing about how it feels to be struck with Cruciatus, as I have never been a victim of it, and there is no book that can describe the horrible pain caused. Also, I don’t think you even want to know. Pain is yours to give, not to receive, so arm yourself with viciousness if you haven’t already, and go continue this tradition of torture, more than 1500 years old.
"The Unforgivable Curses Part 3"
The Killing Curse.
The effect of the Killing Curse is obviously self-explanatory. It causes instant death as soon as the green light beam that is ejected from the wizard's wand touches it's victim and is not reversible by any magic yet discovered. The victim can, however, dodge the beam, but blocking charms won't have an effect on the Killing Curse.
The Killing Curse is maybe the best option if you intend to murder someone. Your victim will not only be dead immediately, but also it also leaves no evidence on the body of your victim. So, if you plan your murder wisely, no-one will be able to prove that you did it.
However, if you plan to cause horrible things to your victim, the killing curse might be a very poor choice as the victim won't feel a thing. And there exist many more horrible and evile spells than death. I won't elaborate on that as this chapter is about the Killing Curse and you still want to know how to cast it.
Be prepared: This piece of magic requires more than the swish of a wand and the incantation. You have to really mean it. You must REALLY want to kill. Otherwise you might just hurt yourself. If you are not ready then leave it. There is more evile and more interesting dark art in this book than taking poor people's lives.
If you are then prepared to kill, take your wand and swing it like if you wanted to stab your opponent. The curse will be more successful if you do this with all the strength you have. Throw the curse against your opponent. While you do this say the incantation, which is 'Avada Kedavra'. Also, if you scream it with all your anger and strength the curse will be easier. As soon the green beam of light touches your victim it should be dead.
Of course, this can also be done quiet and more subtle, but that requires a huge amount of practice.
Last to say is that this curse belongs to the three Unforgivable Curses as you should know from the title. These curses have been banned since the year 1717 as it is stated also in the previous chapter about the Cruciatus Curse. If you don't plan your murder well you will spend the rest of your life in Azkaban. Remember that.
There are a wide range of extremely dark and damaging curses that, like unforgivables, can cause great psychological and physical harm as well as death. Yet you will not find them classed by the Ministry of Magic as 'unforgivable curses'. The ministry would no doubt add to their list if they were aware or could prove the existence of some of the curses outlined in this volume. Many are examples of very old, dark magic that is difficult to find reference to or cast and thus is often unreported as users do not wish to spread the secret of their own weapons and witnesses rarely live to tell.
Elemental magic is as old as magic itself. Water, earth, wind and fire are all used mildly in most types of common spells, Aguamenti, Incendio etc. However, the elements are the very foundations of the world and have tremendous amount of power attached to them. Yet their true power is rarely utilized, except for those determined and ambitious enough to seek the force and strength they have the potential to yield.
The FiendFyre curse is one that has been passed down from dark wizard to dark wizard, but rarely is one powerful enough to truly control it. It produces an abundance of destructive and intensely hot pseudo-sentient flame which spouts from the wand tip. A flick of the wand will release the spout as an individual section of fire . Skilled Wizards can then transform these sections of flame into shapes and beings of their choosing. They are commonly turned into fiery manifestations of the victims worst fears or an expression of the caster's emotions. However, the less proficient may find that the FiendFyre takes on shapes triggered by its environment or seemingly at random. Naturally, as a curse, the fire cannot be extinguished by usual water-based spells. The only thing which can cancel the curse is its counter-incantation, which the user must be able to cast whilst in the hot and dangerous environment caused by the FiendFyre.
FiendFyre has the ability to sense, track and target living beings, making it a useful spell for attacking fleeing or hiding enemies. It is both this facet and the 'living' shapes it can manifest as that give the impression of sentiency. However, make no mistake, the curse cannot think of its own volition and will not make any distinction between the caster and their intended victim.
An extremely annihilative and lethal spell, this is guaranteed to strake pure terror into any observer and burn the victim, if not to death than beyond all recognition. A great dark magic that harnesses the element of fire. This is no curse to take lightly, treat it with respect but do not expect the same in return.
Incantation: Ignismalo Viveret
Counter-Incantation: Ignismalo Mortuum
Hand Positioning and movement: Hold aloft and flick at warranted intervals.
