The study of history is important to me because I like to know what the past was like, why certain laws were put into place, what wars there were, why the wars took place, ect. Knowing my ancestor and what they did is also important because you want to know if you have any big affect on history or any secret hidden powers. History can hold secrets to big events, small events, and even giant wars.
People should take history to know about important laws and why they were put into effect. If someone simply saw a law and thought it wasn't important, they might break it for that very reason. They should also know why wars started. If they only heard about a war and not know why it started or how, they wouldn't know what the war was for or what they were fighting over. They should be able to have their own opinion about what happened in wars. For example, the Wand War that happened in 1500 had two sides. One side wanted to protect the wand lore from the juggles who sought it. The other side wanted to show their magic to the muggles.
In conclusion, history can help with an overall understanding of laws, wars, and ancestors long forgotten. It is important to never forget history, because with the forgetting of history goes the forgetting of laws, wars, and long ago family. You make history every second, minute, and hour.
