Chapter 7
The first night in Malfoy Manor was one of the worst nights of my life. After Malfoy showed me the room I could stay in. I went to bed. The moment my head hit the pillow I passed out, fast asleep. But because of the exhaustion of the day I forgot to take a dreamless sleep potion. So as soon as I fell asleep I was ambushed by the horrifying nightmares. I was pinned to the floor by Bellatrix Lestrange, she was yelling at me non stop and throwing the cruciartis curse at me whatever chance she got. After a while Greyback dragged Harry and Ron and tortured them right in front of me. There was nothing I could do to save them. I could only sit there an listen to their agonizing screams. "No! Please leave them alone! Please! Your killing them! I'll do anything!" I scream over and over. The two death eaters look over at me with an evil glint in their eye. All of the sudden they both simultaneously cast the killing curse at two of the most important people in my life. They lie on the floor pail and cold and dead. I start sobbing and convulsing. Bellatrix turns to me and picks me up by the neck and throws me across the room into the wall where I can feel my head start to bleed. From where she is standing as she throws the killing curse at me I hear her say, "goodbye mud blood." With her disgusting cackle. When the curse hits me I jump up and I'm back in the bed in the room Malfoy gave me. I am soaked in either sweat or tears. I am hyperventilating again, but someone is in the room with me. Malfoy is sitting on the edge of my bed rubbing my back. Without thinking I throw my arms around him hold onto him like my life depended on it. "It's okay it was just a dream." He calmly repeated. "It was horrible. I haven't had a nightmare like that in months. I forgot to take my dreamless sleep potion before I went to bed." I say calming down. "Why are you taking potions to help you sleep." He asks worriedly."The last good nights rest I have had without the potion was before sixth year." I say"You've been having the same dreams since sixth year?" He asks stupidly. "Dreams can change and well mine just keep getting worse." I say. "Don't you have nightmares?" "Not as many anymore. They stopped after the dark lord died." He said. "One, his name is Voldemort well Tom Riddle. Two, why did they stop after. They should have intensified from the trauma caused by the war." I say. "The first time I saw death I was seven. I've been traumatized so much I guess the death of the person causing all the trauma reversed it or something." He said babbling. "Well you should get some sleep, but I'd suggest not to take the potion it's better to face your fears then hide from them. The potion also has some dangerous side effects." "I can't sleep without it." I say scared."I can stay and wake you up if it looks like your having a nightmare." He offers.I mull this over. I really don't think I want me ex enemy's watching me sleep. "No thanks. I'll deal with it myself. Like you said I need to face my fears." I reply. A smile covers his face out of nowhere. "There's the thing again. No matter what it is you have to overcome it on your own." I think about this for a while. And then smile back at him. "Anyway goodnight and just call if you need anything I'm right down the hall." And with that he walks out.
