The Backstory of Ji-woo (Before the Killing Curse)

written by Ji-woo Jung

Centuries and centuries ago, I had been a human. I had been a first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh year student like you all...that was until I met my doom with a Killing Curse. My memories were gone and all my friends, gone also. All that I had left was an empty shell of what used to be me. I now haunt the Hufflepuff halls, waiting patiently for my memories to slowly come back to me. This is the book that contains my story. It Contains the memories that I finally could remember.

Chapter 1: My Beginning

Chapter 1
Ji-woo Jung was like any normal child on his street. He played games like the other children and laughed like the other children. He was like any normal child on his street, except he wasn't. He was a muggle born child; born from his father, Yujin Jung, and his mother, Jae-eun Jung.

The fact that he was a wizard and could do these magical things at random times and moments didn't bother him, but the fact that he could do magical things at random times and moments did bother him at the sametime. The children could definitely tell he wasn't exactly "human". Everytime that he would come out to play with the other children, the most bizarre things would happen. From an army of frogs crawling out of the sewers and bowing down to him to kids (he secretly hated) blowing up like an inflated ballon. After this one time where he accidentally casted a spell on one of the children by turning them into a small rat, he decided that maybe he should just stay inside. He would never come out and play with the other children.

Ji-woo was laying on his bed, facing up towards the pale, white ceiling. A small knock was heard before the door to his bedroom opened slowly. He slowly turned his head to see his mother peeking in, only her head showing.

"Ji-woo? Are you okay?" His mother asked in a small whisper.

"Yes, Eomma (Mom). I'm fine..." Ji-woo said tired of the same question his mother asked him everyday.

"I've brought something for you. It's a letter for you?"

At the word of "letter" and "for you" Ji-woo instantly shot up from his head, now sitting up straight, his body faced to his mother. His mother smiled as she walked into the room and sat down onto Ji-woo's bed. She extended a small white envelope with a red seal over it. Ji-woo slowly took the envelope from his mother's hand. He read the fine print:

Mr. J. Jung.
60 Cypress Rd.
Depew

Ji-woo carefully tore the seal and opened the letter, slightly excited at what might the letter be about. He read it slowly out loud to his mother.

Ji-woo sat there, blinking multiple times at the letter. He then looked up to his mother with tears in his eyes.

"E-Eomma...I-I finally get to...b-be normal..." He said as he tried his best to hold back the tears of joy. His mother smiled and pulled him into a tight hug.

"I know. I know, Ji-woo...." His mother's voice was as smooth as silk. "Ji-woo, we must get your books and equipment...when would you like to do that?"

"T-Tomorrow, please..."

"Okay. Tomorrow then..."
