Chapter 6
It looked utterly horrendous. I was thinking maybe a fairytale castle. This was another story. Imagine yourself being in prison. Yup, I know, it’s not the best experience. Cobwebs, small and large, hung down from every point of the castle. Crows flew across every few seconds, creating noises to make you feel like your about to be killed. Cracks opened up the castle, and it was so obvious that it was about to fall. Half-fragmented windows covered with ripped, smoky curtains. I didn’t want to go in; it was stranded and…lonely. I probably look petrified, since both of the boys shook me, trying to wake me up. “Hey, Sarah.” They both called me. “This isn’t what it looks like. It’s a disguise.” I could breathe now, but they stopped me by walking through a blue shield that I didn’t see before. Losing them is the last thing I need, so I followed them through the shield.
Now this is what I call sick. Sky-blue, indigo, cream, bright orange butterflies fluttered around the castle, bringing joy to the students and teachers. The castle stood up as strong as 300 rhinos and elephants, and not a single crack was to be seen. No crows, no broken windows, and no creepy curtain. The curtains were made of a glorious pink, and the windows were open so everyone could breathe in the sunshine. “It’s amazing.” I stated, flabbergasted.
“What did we tell you?” Life was going to be great; I could already tell. Even if my aunt was gone.
I entered the school; it was a dream come true. Before I wanted to live in a mansion with billions of pounds, but right now, all I need is: school. I know, I even feel weird saying it. I mean, school has literally been my nightmare ever since I was born.
