Lie 3 - The rest of the year

Chapter 7
Lucius arrived back at Hogwarts from Christmas break three days after myself; and he brought a present back with him. The card what beautifully handmade, which he explained his mother made, ash she is very crafty. The card read:

Dear Dolores,
You are one of my closest friends here at Hogwarts; and I hate to see you in pain and sadness. This card was made by my mother, in the hopes that a picture of a pink cat (pink your favourite colour; and a cat your favourite animal) might help to cheer you up.

But seeing as this is a Christmas card, I better stop writing what I can just say to your face, so, MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I hope that the rest of this year brings you joy, love and happiness.

Love, Lucius

The present itself was a fluffy, white cat. “On Boxing Day we went to Diagon Alley to buy myself an owl, and I saw this cat and thought of you. I knew that your parents had given your cat to your sister so I got this one for you. I understand that she will never replace Rosy, but I thought it could help. You can name her whatever you want.” After Lucius is done talking, we begin to brainstorm names and the only name that truly makes since is “Lucisa, that’s it. I want to name her Lucisa, after you; the boy who has given me the best present any girl could ever ask for.” The look on Lucius’ face was priceless. It was a look of amazement, happiness and excitement. “Thank you Dolores. The name really suits her.”

After Christmas break the rest of the year went by so quickly I can hardly recount everything that happened. The most memorable event that happened was when Slytherin won the Quidditch Grand Final; this was amazing since we beat Gryffindor, and they almost won.

After the Quidditch game nothing much else happened. Lucius and I would dote on Lucisa; she has everyone in Slytherin wrapped around her tiny, white, fluffy paw. The end of the school year cam so soon, my plans for the holidays ended up being rushed. In the end I decided that I would take up Lucius’ offer of staying at his house. I insisted on writing an acceptance letter to his parents myself.

Dear Mr and Mrs Malfoy,

I would love to come and stay with your family for the school holidays. Lucius has been such a fabulous friend to me throughout this year, helping me with all of my family drama. Also thank you for buying my beautiful Lucisa, she has everyone in Slytherin under her spell; it is as if she was a witch and the rest of us were cats!

Regards; with great gratitude and excitement for the holidays,

Dolores Jane Prewett (a proud Slytherin).

The end of year feast came and went; with Slytherin being announced as the house champions. The entire Slytherin table erupted into cheers of joy, the rest of the Great Hall stayed silent. After the last feast, Lucius and I went back to the common room and finished packing our bags; preparing to leave for his family home the very next day.
