Lesson Five: Potions Lab Skeleton Regenerating Potion Study Guide
Chapter 7
This style of the potion is made in pewter cauldrons & uses Celsius temperature.
Rubens Winikus invented the Skele-Gro potion in 1913. Thorsten Pfeffer was almost killed during the Quidditch World Cup in 2014, & needed Skele-Gro to aid in the regrowing of bones.

Ingredients:
⊱ 5L of water
⊱ 10ml of rose water
⊱ 6 tbsp of powdered sulfur
⊱ 3ml of Essence of Dittany
⊱ 10ml of honey water
⊱ 5 scarab beetles
⊱ 3 dried seahorses
⊱ 4 doxy eggs
⊱ 1 chinese chomping cabbage
⊱ 4 chamomile flower petals
⊱ 3 pufferfish
⊱ 3 jellyfish
⊱ 2 griffin claws
⊱ 1 whole velnamele pepper
Instructions Part One
1. Add 1L of water & heat to 90 degrees Celsius. Crush 3 scarab beetles, 2 dried seahorses to mortar and pestle. Add 2 ½ measures (tablespoon) to the cauldron.
2. Add 3ml of rose water & stir twice clockwise. Add ½ measure (tablespoon) of the crushed mixture to the cauldron. Heat to 110 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes & then decrease to 90 degrees Celsius.
3. Brew for 60 minutes. The potion’s color is a navy blue with a moldy bread smell.
4. Add 2 doxy eggs, 2 measures (tablespoon) of powdered sulfur, & heat to 110 degrees Celsius for 5 minutes. Decrease to 90 degrees Celsius.
5. Cut 1 Chinese Chomping Cabbage into 3cm slices & add half of the slices to the cauldron. Stir 3 times counterclockwise & twice clockwise. The potion should look riled up.
6. Crush 1ml of Essence of Dittany, 2 scarab beetles, & 1 dried seahorse to the mortar and pestle. Add 1 measure (tablespoon) of crushed ingredients & add 500ml of water to the cauldron. Heat to 100 degrees Celsius & stir once clockwise.
7. Brew for 3-5 hours. The potion’s color is a blue-green with a gurdy root smell & a yellow steam.
8. Decrease to 90 degrees Celsius. Add 1L of water & 4ml of rose water to the cauldron. Simmer for 30 seconds & add 2ml of Essence of Dittany. Stir once with a wooden spoon.
9. Add 2 chamomile flower petals, 1 jellyfish & 1 pufferfish to the cauldron. Stir twice counterclockwise. Brew for 30 minutes & take off of the heat. Stir 3 times clockwise & let it settle for 6 hours. The potion’s color is a forest green & smells like roasted garlic.
Instructions Part Two
1. Heat to 90 degrees Celsius. Crush 5ml of honey water, 2 doxy eggs, & 2 griffin claws. Add the crushed ingredients to the cauldron. Add the sliced Chinese Chomping Cabbage.
2. Add 1L of water & stir 3 times counterclockwise. Heat to 110 degrees Celsius for 8 minutes & decrease to 90 degrees Celsius. Add 2 chamomile flower petals & heat to 110 degrees Celsius for 3 minutes. Decrease to 90 degrees Celsius & stir once clockwise.
3. Brew for 25 minutes. The potion’s color is a pale green with pink steam. It smells like sulfur or a boiled egg.
4. Stir with a wooden spoon. Add 3ml of rose water, 1 pufferfish, & 1 jellyfish to the cauldron. Stir twice clockwise. Add 500ml of water & heat to 110 degrees Celsius for 5 minutes. Decrease to 90 degrees Celsius.
5. Add 5ml of honey water & 1ml of Essence of Dittany to the cauldron. Brew for 20 minutes & remove from heat. Stir with a wooden spoon & let it settle for 2 hours.
6. Heat to 90 degrees Celsius, add 1L of water, & heat to 110 degrees Celsius for 2 minutes. Decrease to 90 degrees Celsius.
7. Add 4 measures (tablespoon) of powdered sulfur, 1 pufferfish & 1 jellyfish to the cauldron. Stir twice counterclockwise. Add 1 whole velnamele pepper to the cauldron.
8. Heat to 110 degrees Celsius for 3 minutes & remove from heat. The potion’s color is a mustard green-yellow with a clear smoke. It smells like onions & tastes like pumpkin juice.
Usage Notes
Store the potion in a tinted flask at room temperature, & can be stored for one year. It can take twelve hours or more to regrow limbs or those with deformities. It can cause pain, splinters, mild fevers, soreness, hallucinations, nausea, dizziness, & heartburn. Children under eight years old & pregnant women should only take this potion if in dire need of it.
