Subject info- Potions

Chapter 4

If your less interested in spells and wand works the next subject I would suggest is potions. Potions isn't a hard subject but if you expect it to be a walk in the park then you'd be sorely mistaken.

Potions deals more with the scientific side of magic. Potions is very like science in the muggle world. The first couple of lessons teach you the scientific terms you need to know when taking potions. It also teaches you about tools you need to succeed. In first year (and I presume the rest of the years) there are two lab lessons. Lab lessons are lessons where you brew a potion. The lab lessons are lessons four and eight. Between lessons four and eight you learn more terms and a bit of interesting facts about dragons.
The wait times for assignment to be graded isn't to long but don't expect it to be in a day or two. The assignments themselves are harder then other classes as you have more open ended questions.
The two potions you brew are the Cure for Boils and the Forgetfulness potion.
