Chapter 20
Spooky scary spiders,
Creeping on the floor.
Those eight eyes that eyed her,
Shook her to the core.
If there is one thing she hates,
One thing that she does not like,
It's those skinny furry legs, eight,
And those painful fangs, yikes!
She is scared of spiders,
Whenever she sees one she screams.
If it takes just a step closer,
It follows her into her dreams.
Yet in her dream, she doesn't scream,
She fights as a brave knight;
She cartwheels on the balance beam,
And gives the spider quite a fright.
Spooky scary spiders
Creeping on the floor.
Those eight eyes that eyed her,
Frightened her no more.

"Where Magic resides"
Magic is all around waiting,
For it to be found.
A secret it will be,
Until you choose to see.
Magic resides in the midnight breeze,
When the moon shines upon
The sleeping trees and glistening seas.
In the corner of dark libraries, at forgotten hours ;
Inscribed in secret, inked by stars as a secret in disguise
The magic resides.
Magic resides in every scar,
Echoed by battles fought from near and far.
Each mark is a testament to resilience,
A map of a journey, of both agony and brilliance.
Magic hides in the depths of hearts,
Guarded by our dreams, people discard them.
Seek it inside the mundane things of life,
That is where the secret lies.
Magic is made like the same thing as me-
Love, hope and pretty lies.
Let the magic sink in as your thoughts fly.
Magic becomes art when,
It has nothing to hide.
That is where my friend,
True magic lies.
Seek it in everything that passes by …

New Beginnings
Like flowers that Spring up,
we all need time to grow
From fighting for survival,
in the late Winter snow
We reach towards the sun,
grappling to let past traumas go
The beauty of each scarred petal,
displayed with confidence
a reminder of every Fall.
JOURNALIST-Lola Estrella
The air is filled with heat and love
Your dreams are as high as the sky above
Even the loudest drummer
Can't beat the swelter of summer
Children are playing and having fun,
Under the glistening, hot Sun
They come running home, bathed in mud
And throw their shoes off with a thud
On the table are waiting salad and fruits,
But only ice cream would lift the children's moods
Relishing milkshakes give moustaches to happy faces
The world is dressed in light cottons and laces
Come out and enjoy while you can,
Because it all began
With a sky full of hope
Summer is back, this is no joke
