Charlotte
I was on the buggy making my way to the Turner mansion the next day. It was just me and James. This was my first time traveling across the town alone, I couldn’t help myself but think of ways where people could steal from us. Or even take our few horses. I arrived at the Turner mansion a little before noon. A girl that looked around my age opened the door.
“Hello, miss, how may I help you?” the girl said peeking her head out of the door.
“I’m Charlotte Jones. I'm here for Edmund.” I said politely.
“Oh! He said you were arriving today. You may come inside.”
“Thank you.” The door opened more, and I walked inside. The girl followed me in and guided me towards the dining area. Edmund bowed in my presence like he had yesterday, then I looked around the room. There was a boy around the age of seventeen, a girl about nineteen or twenty, and another boy that looked exactly like the first girl I saw. They all had brown hair.
“Am I interrupting something? I can leave if you’d like.” I said with a bow to my head. They all just stared at me with shocked faces.
“Wow, you're beautiful!” The boy my age said, breaking the silence. The older teenage girl elbowed him aggressively and then gave him the scolding frown that my mother had given me so many times over the past several weeks.
“This is the Page family, Charlotte. They arrived last night from London.” Edmund said as he motioned towards them.
“Pleasure to meet you,” said the girl my age. “Allow me to introduce myself and my siblings. I’m Hellen. This is my twin brother, Charles, my older brother, Philip, and my sister, Sarah.”
“I’m Charlotte Jones,” I replied. “The pleasure is all mine.”
