Chapter 5
Rest is a very important factor in studying. The body requires roughly 7-10 hours of sleep. Anywhere under or above is unhealthy, and can cause drowsiness or hallucination in rare cases. If your body and mind is not well rested, studying will be very difficult. It is recommended that you get 10 hours of sleep, but 7 hours is the MINIMUM.
In order to study correctly, you must have an open mind. You should not be thinking about anything other than what you are trying to memorize. If you can barely keep your eyes open, you are not going to be able to memorize the things that you are required to know.
Magnesium - a vital mineral that we need in our bodies - may improve brain performance, memory, and problem solving. Caffeine beverages definitely do not help your cause at all. For every cup of coffee you drink, you should drink 2 cups of water to keep yourself hydrated.
Without adequate rest you may have a shorter attention span or have trouble focusing, remembering, or solving problems. Before you go to bed, avoid any sugars or caffeine products.
