Taking Breaks

Chapter 4
It is very important to take regular breaks while studying. You should not overwhelm your brain by memorizing too many things at once. You should decide on a schedule for studying. For instance, if you need to study for a Defense Against The Dark Arts final, study the first two lessons, then take a 5 minute break. Then so on and so on. You do not have to follow this example, though. Just create a schedule that's comfortable for you!

The reason that you should take a break is because if you stuff too much information into your brain at once, it can overwhelm you, causing you to forget it later. If you study some, then take a break and give yourself a moment to process it, there is a lower chance of you forgetting the things you need to know.

The best time for taking breaks is 1/4 into your notes. Your breaks should be from 5-10 minutes each. The time depends on how much studying you have to do.

If you have to studying multiple subjects, take breaks between 30 minutes-1 hour. You do not want to cram a bunch of information from different subjects into one mindset.

That's all I have today for breaks. I'll see you all next time!
