Basic Tips

Chapter 2
Let's start off with some tips for studying, shall we?

First off, it's best that you don't completely dread studying. I know that can be difficult at times, but if you dread studying, you'll want to get it done as soon as possible. This will cause you to rush, making it impossible to absorb the information needed. Just take your time. Take as much time that is needed to absorb as much information as you can.

Next, you should study with a group. Quiz eachother on the information required. Set up a penalty for getting a question wrong. For instance, if I'm studying with Harry and he gets a question wrong, he has to buy me a butterbeer. This will make you and your partner/partners more motivated to get the questions right. To get them right, they have to study thoroughly.

You need to take good, organized notes. If possible, do so in a physical journal instead of the notes icon on your phone. Studies show that you are more likely to remember something if you write it down. Take notes in colored pens, if possible. If not, use a pencil. It it entirely up to you. It doesn't really matter what writing utensil you use, as long as you'll be able to read it. If your notes are organized, it will make reading and studying easier. A lot of courses require you to write an essay using your notes from previous lessons (Charms does so), so take plenty of notes!

Do not overwhelm yourself with classes. Only take what is required. After you finish those classes, take the extra ones. If you overwhelm yourself with classes, you'll find yourself withdrawing from them, losing all of your hard work.

Answer questions carefully. Getting high grades on assignments earns you house points. It also determines whether or not you pass the course. If you fail, you may be required to take it again.

That's all for today. I'll see you all later with more help!
