Grade-A-Palooza
Chapter 6
It was a tiring month nonetheless for the Professor Assistants (PAs), despite the lighthearted air in the castle. Assignments poured in as usual, were graded, and sent back to the students. We asked one of the PAs how they felt about the continuous flow of assignments, even during Valentine's Month and the Chinese New Year. The Professor Assistant said, "The continued enthusiasm for academics was quite motivating to see, and the effort put behind the work, despite the distracting vibe of the school throughout February, was a delight to comprehend. Grading felt amazing, as usual. The assignments that rolled in showed us how much the students loved the classes and how dedicated they were to performing well. There will always be the occasional prankster or the one student who plagiarizes their essays and receives a 0 with no chances to resubmit, but overall, most of the work we got to see was satisfactory, original, and well-crafted. Some submissions were exceptionally captivating and laudable. These are the ones that make us feel overjoyed for the opportunity to look at other students' answers and essays. It felt good to see the hard work being kept up." We were obviously happy to hear the response, and it fueled us to take the moving stairs to attend more classes.
The Professors at Hogwarts make it a point every month to reward the Professor Assistants for their laudable attempts at grading the huge stacks of submitted assignments. They organize a monthly grading competition, Grade-A-Palooza, for the most number of assignments graded to keep spirits high among the lovely teams of PAs.
The February Grade-A-Palooza was held as usual. The winner's throne was taken by Martha Desurra, 2nd year Ravenclaw witch, Charms, Flying, and Potions PA at Hogwarts for grading 624 assignments throughout the month. The first runner-up was Maya, 3rd year Ravenclaw witch, Transfiguration and Defense Against the Dark Arts PA at Hogwarts, who graded 380 assignments throughout the month. The second runner-up was Hiya Debnath, 2nd year Gryffindor witch, Astronomy and Charms PA at Hogwarts, and her monthly grading count for February was 322 assignments. Please do not forget to extend your heartfelt congratulations to them. Meanwhile, if you want to join the graders, retrace your steps to the Newsroom and fill in the PA applications.
