Difference Between Dark Magic And Black Magic

Chapter 1

In my free time after classes I went to the library to do some research because of a question I have mulled over for a while. The question was 'S by are dark magics outlawed.'

After researching I found that dark magic is just the act of taking something from oneself or using something not someone other than yourself to cast magic.

Ex. Blood magic (Harry's mother uses her own blood to protect him from Voldmort.)

Black magic is the art of hurting, killing, controlling, or using another to help oneself.

Ex. Horucrux (You have to kill someone to make one.)

Now that I have explained the differences now I will explain why the Ministry outlaws all of it and not just black magic. Mostly because dark magic and black magic both cannot be controlled.

People fear what they don't understand and can't control. That also brings another thing the Ministry doesn't understand and can't control. Magical animals/beasts are not given the same rights as wizards and witches because the Ministry cannot control nor understand these magnificent beast.

I wonder if anyone will see the injustice if these situations.
