We all followed McGonagall after she got finished telling us about the houses. I smiled when I saw my brother and his friends at the table waiting for us. They all waved at me giving me thumb ups as if ready for me to join them in MY set house. We all gathered around the table and waited till the hat had finished it's song. We clapped as I got more ready for it to happen.

One by one we were called up there to get sorted. She did it in ABC order so I was more near the middle of the list. I payed attention to who got what. I was happy when Lily got Gryffindor. But Black did as well. Dang you luck. I soon was pulled from my thoughts when I heard my name be called.

"Abigail Gryffindor,"Professor McGongall said as I smiled.

I skipped my way up there and took a seat under the hat. I soon heard it's voice in my head. I felt it invade my thoughts as it search my personality.

Alex's sister has finally came, it said as I smiled, Brave at heart. Not afraid to stand up for something you believe in. But yet determine to be the best and wanting to fit in. A secret rare power that I can't say for I'm just a hat. Better be...

"Gryffindor!!"It yelled barely tapping my head.

The table went up in cheers but you could mainly hear my brother and his friends. I love Alex so much and we are closer than most siblings. I began my walk but Alex came and placed me on his shoulders as the hall laughed at us. I argued with him to put me down and he did when I was beside him at the table. I looked at Lily as she was laughing at me. I started to laugh as I noticed Sirius was glaring at me. So what if I got a bigger 'Hell Yeah she's with us' than you did.

Like I did when I was waiting I listen to each. And all of my friends got my house. Yeah! Now is only I can avoid Black and be able to hang out with them that would be nice and amazing. I looked at Alex as he was smiling down at me. I returned it back to him just as happy as he was.

Soon the feast started and the boys around me were talking about all the classes where about. I listened to each one as I didn't want to be late for any of them. I was glad I had Alex here to help me out. I looked at James and Remus as they were talking with Black and looked like they were having a great time.

"What's wrong Abs?"Alex said making me look at him.

"I might lose my friend to him,"I said as he followed my gaze.

"Hogwarts is a magical place,"Alex said as I looked at him,"It's where you know who is your real friend and who isn't. But it is also where you can meet your best friends."

"Meaning what?"I asked looking at him curious now.

"That Evans girl you were talking with earlier seems to be nice,"Was all he gave me.

I looked down the table to Lily and she smiled nicely at me. I returned it back as he might be right. If I do lose my friends to Black than at least I have Lily to be there for me. I looked back at Alex as he went over everything with me. Like how to get the teachers on my side and not against. My dear brother I'm going to use this for pranking you know.
