It was finally the holiday. I was so excited to be free from the terr known as Black. But before I left the school Professor McGongal did hand me Black's real letter to me. So I'm not going to say anything about that really. But right now I was at home with my brother and his two best friends.

"Boys,"Mom said as we were rough housing around,"Abigail is not a boy. So go easier with her."

"Mom,"I said as they laughed at it,"We are just goofing off."

"As a young lady you shouldn't be messing around like that,"She said walking into the living room where we were all at. It hurts sometimes at how she can be so infuriating with what I do. I mean I can be one of the guys and be alright. She doesn't need to baby me all the time. "Now Abigail I need to have a word with you in the kitchen."

"Yes ma'am,"I said walking in there with her.

I sat at the table with her as she was preparing cards for our Christmas Party. Is she going to be asking me who I want there this year? I looked at her as she smiled at me.

"I want the names of the friends you want to invite this year,"She said as I smiled happily,"But be warn. I have already invite the Potters to come. So they are already on their way to the party this year."

"Lily Evans,"I said as she nodded,"Severus Snape. And Remus Lupin and his parents."

"All friends of yours I hope,"She said as I nodded. But I frowned for I really didn't know if Remus was my friend still. I mean he hangs out with Black like James. Maybe I did lose me two best friends.

"What is it my little girl?"She asked as I looked up at her.

"It's nothing,"I said looking at the table.

"A mother knows when her babies are hurting,"She said sliding my chair closer to her,"Now tell Momma what is wrong with her princess."

I fell into her arms and told her that Black might have stole James and Remus from me. I told her how it hurts seeing them with him and not me. Then i told her about everything really. How he tried to make fun of me and for some reason my gift worked without me knowing. And she just sat there and listened to me.

"Do you still want Remus to come?"She asked as I nodded,"Then we'll still send one out to him and his family. And baby, if black comes with the Potters. You still have your muggle friend there to talk to. Alright."

"Alright,"I said hugging her as she went to finish the list up,"I'm going to my room to go over my transfiguration books."

"Alright baby girl,"She said as I walked out.

I ran up to my room and laid on my bed. I took out the book and went over the spells. I looked at the objects and did the spell as practice. I was getting better and better at it.

"Hoot"

I looked at my window to see James's owl. I smiled as I went over to it and opened my window up. He threw the letter on my desk and just sat there staring at me. I laughed at him as I petted his head before opening the letter up. I looked over James's bad handwriting and almost smiled at it. Well till the last part of it. It just made me feel bad.


Dear Abs,

Hey. I know that this year hasn't really been the best on our friendship. But I do want you to know that I will be there for you when you need it. I mean we've known each other for how many years exactly. Too many to count. But I am also going to go head and say that this is not about Lily. I don't want you to feel like I'm using you to get to her.

I can't wait to see you at the party. My parents already got their invite. I know that it's going to be grand like always. I can't wait for all the good food and stuff you have planned for it this year. I mean you are still planning the kid's stuff right. Well I hope you are.

Also Sirius is coming to. He's staying at my place for break. Isn't that cool. I mean you too might be able to get along and then I'll have my two best friends being happy. He also asked me to tell you to make sure there is nothing boring with the kid activities. But I told him that you will never do that. Can't wait to see you.

James asked Black to send the holidays with him. I sighed as I looked over the letter. But he did defend me on the party games for us kids. But I really was hoping that this year we could do a gift exchange type of deal. I mean Mom was putting that in there for the kids. And now I have to make sure that the other activities are super awesome and what not.

"I really didn't want Black to come,"I said to myself as I looked at James's owl,"But I guess I can't tell James that he wasn't invited. So looks like I'm hanging with Lils instead."
