Quidditch Player Of The Issue - Taylor Dawn
Chapter 9
-QUIDDITCH PLAYER OF THE ISSUE - Taylor Dawn-
Taylor Dawn is this month’s Quidditch Player of the Issue; a Canadian Sportsman with a position on his national team and known as one of the best beaters in 21st Century Quidditch.
Dawn is of French descent, though he was born in Ottawa. However, up until he was sixteen years old, Dawn’s family were constantly travelling back and forth between Ottawa and Limoges (A French city that is Administrative capital of the Limousin region in West-Central France, not to be confused with the Canadian City of the same name). Because of this less steady way of living, Dawn was home educated through all of his educational years, which he says wholly suited him as he states he is not a greatly academic person.
Dawn’s beating technique and the passion behind his playing are admired by many and his work ethic is also apparently one to be envied yet appreciated. Many coaches have described him as a pleasure to train, such as the current coach for the Canadian team, Georg Lale, who said;
“Taylor is fun yet serious - he’s great to work with and will always raise the morale of everyone with jokes and general sunniness but at the same time respects everyone and always plays an excellent game.’’
However, after Canada was knocked out of the national table, Dawn announced he would be dropping out of the team for a year to focus on his personal life as his father has recently contracted a terminal illness and he feels he needs to support his mother and the rest of his family.
Dawn has just celebrated his twenty-seventh birthday and always expresses in interviews that his favorite things are ‘’Salad, Sun and Sushi’’.
