-Introduction to the Issue-

Dear Readers,

I find myself quite surprised to be on the ninth issue - just one more until double figures! I’m so pleased the magazine is received well and hope this issue will be enjoyed as much as the previous ones! Again, there have been some minor changes and a few features have been added and changed. This issue I must always give a huge thanks to my two co-editors, who did the bulk of the work for me whilst I was dealing with exams - they wish to remain anonymous but I have to give my thanks to them anyway.

Hogwarts has been very quiet recently, so I hope this issue may cause some conversation, as we have several debatable themes in articles included and many that can simply be discussed - a favourite game among my own real life friends is to try and guess what will happen next in the serial stories, which is always very amusing.

As said, we have a few new features this issue, including a column on the various Harry Potter projects in the Muggle world, and some have been removed. The Academic article has been dropped just for this issue as Jose Delacour, our new writer, was not able to write it and the News Article covers academic happenings on the site anyway. You may also notice the lack of a script this issue, and I regret to inform you that has been dropped for now. Although I am still working on a script, I am adapting one of my Father’s books and despite wanting to share it, I fear it will attract plagiarism.

We welcome four new writers this issue: Wren Munro (Literacy Article), Danielle Lahey (Harry Potter in the Muggle World Column), Charlotte August Lovelace (Gossip Column) and Ashlee Smith (Recipes). Jose Delacour will also be joining next issue to write for the HiH section. I can assure you that their work is excellent and I am very pleased to welcome them!

Some features to look out for this issue as well as the new additions are the next update of the serial Dark Hearts, which sheds some light on the pasts of the two girls and begins to gather pace; the musical number, which includes a guitar tutorial for the song (‘Riptide’); and the News Article, which covers the additional curriculum subjects and is helpful for students looking to enroll or just for a little more information on them.

Enjoy reading!
