The Different Balls Used In Quidditch And Information About Them
Chapter 3
There are four balls used in Quidditch. One quaffle, two bludgers, and one golden snitch.
The quaffle -- The quaffle is the ball Chasers try to get through the other teams hoops. Each time this goes through a hoop, it's 10 points for the scoring team. It is red and easy to carry, as far as Quidditch balls go.
The bludgers -- The bludgers are hit by the Beaters' bats. Beaters try to direct the bludgers towards the other team using their bats, and they also keep bludgers away from their own team.
The golden snitch -- The golden snitch could be the most important ball in Quidditch. It is golden, of course, it is very fast, and very small. So, it's very difficult to catch. It is the Seeker's job to catch the golden snitch. Catching the golden snitch awards the catcher's team 150 points and ends the game.
