Quidditch is a sport that is very commonly played in the Wizarding World. The first game was played in 1269. Each team has seven players -- one Keeper, two Beaters, three Chasers, and one Seeker. It is played on a Quidditch Pitch. A Quidditch Pitch is usually ovular and has three golden hoops on each side. Each team gets a side. The way to score is to throw the quaffle (see chapter 3) through one of the other team's hoops. Another way to score is for your seeker to catch the golden snitch (see chapter 3). Catching the golden snitch awards that seeker's team 150 points. The game ends when the snitch is caught. The team with the highest score wins.
