The Hogwarts Daily
The portable swamps have finally gone, Valentine’s Day is almost here - what else fantastic is happening? Well, to some people (most people), it’s the Lunar New Year holidays! Unfortunately we at Hogwarts don’t have this holiday, but people else where has! Elizabeth Wonders is here to tell you about it.
News of the day
Happy New Year! Wait, what are you telling me? I am too late? A month too late? No way! I am talking about the Lunar New Year. According to the Lunar calendar, it is happening on February the 10th. On that day, people who celebrate eat a special meal and get money from friends and relatives. The holidays often starts today. People can finally take a break from work and school. Aren't you excited? Pity Hogwarts has no holiday for this special occasion.
The portable swamps from the last two days have cleared up! Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs were found trapped in the corridors, now safely in the hospital wing. Slytherins are found in the Room of Requirement, where there was a tunnel transporting them to the Hogshead the past few days for food and drinks. A few Gryffindors have been discovered trapped in their common room while trying to stop the swamp. Everyone is, generally, fine.
"Special Holidays" will be a new column popping out throughout The Hogwarts Daily during the Lunar New Year holidays. Read for fun activities to do and good advices!
The Hogwarts Daily will be taking a two-day break for Lunar New Year holiday. We will start publishing again on the 9th of February.
