Liber Singularis Carminum: A Unique Collection Of Magic.

written by [No Name]

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft of Wizardry provides a suitable education to the budding youths of the magical community. That said, it doesn't quite teach you everything there is to know. Inside you will find a compilation of spells ranging from utility charms to defensive jinxes. Inspired by the book 'Mondelwyn's Encyclopaedia of Enchantments,' available in the Library.

Commodus: Charms Of Utility.

Chapter 8

7.1 The
Halting Charm
☆☆

Incantation:
Sisti.

Movement: A circle, starting in the
lower left portion, and finishing with a diagonal line through the circle.

Termination: Terminates naturally
with the will of the caster, or if concentration is lost.

This charm halts the movement of whatever object is contained
in the wand movement and is focused on. It can be a little tricky to learn, but
once mastered, can be considered irreplaceable. Once correctly cast, a red
circle of light should encase the desired object. The deeper the red, the more
willpower is being enforced. The spell is generally used to either prevent
things from falling and breaking, or even to prevent the movement of objects
under a levitation or locomotion charm. It should be noted that this charm
doesn't work on creatures or humans. It will work on plants of low sentience,
however.
