Umbra: Charms Of Darkness.
Chapter 3
2.1 The
Wand-Extinguishing Charm ☆
Incantation:
Nox.
Motion: A swift flick.
Termination: ---
Learned side-by-side with the wand-lighting charm, this charm
will terminate the effects of Lumos, or any of its variants. This can be used
to extinguish another wizard’s Lumos charm, though that’s really quite rude.
The superlative, ‘Nox Maxima,’ will extinguish every
standard Lumos charm in a nearby area. This does include coloured Lumos charms.
2.2 The
Lights-Out Charm ☆ ☆
Incantation:
Noctotus.
Motion: A small equilateral
triangle, beginning in the lower left vertex.
Termination: ---
This charm can extinguish any non-electrical light sources
nearby. This means magically created lights, fires, and even some
bioluminescence will be dimmed.
2.3 The Umbral
Charm ☆

Incantation:
Umbreo.
Motion: A loop, extending from the shadows towards the direction you wish
them to go.
Termination: A wand-lighting charm activated in the nearby vicinity of an
umbral charm will negate its effects. Else, it will terminate naturally over
time.
This charm, rather than extinguish light, merely extends the
reach and pitch of shadows. Useful for peering around corners without being
spotted and never having to give yourself away by laying hands on a light
source.
