It was eight in the morning. Everything was silent in 12, Grimmauld Place. Then there was a cry from the mistress's room. A baby boy was born. His cry was more like a bark, so they named him Sirius, after the brightest star, the dog star. His parents were proud of him. They thought he would prove to be better than his elder brother, Regulus Black. Were they right? Well no.

          The Black family is one of the largest pure-blood families and every member was sorted into Slytherin house in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and they were proud of these things. They were cunning. 

          But young Sirius Black, was very different from the rest of the family. He was kind and loving, even to strangers and muggle-borns. When Sirius was six years old, his brother, Regulus came running home one day telling his mother that he had just shown a muggle boy his true place by pushing him down a hole. His mother was beaming, she said, "Sirius, learn from your brother."

         Sirius was confused. Being only six, he did not know if his mother was right. But he knew that the muggle boy must be terrified to be in that pit. So he went outside and helped him out by alerting one of his neighbours(his family refused to save the boy). His parents could not help but notice that he did not act like a future Slytherin. So when his letter arrived, they were threatening him that if he was not in Slytherin then they would do the Bat-Bogey Hex on him. Sirius, being brave, did not care much.
