Chapter 3

The sun woke me up in a split second, the centre of it shooting through my eyes. Grabbing a piece of paper and pen, I headed to the bedside table. Then, I started writing a letter to my parents trying to write in my best handwriting ever, you might be a bit shocked by my handwriting so hang tight.

Dear Mother and Father,

I am enjoying it so much here. The people here are incredibly enthusiastic. I wish you were here to see the teachers and pupils here. I’m sure you would love them. Nobody is bullying me and I have actually made a good friend. Her name is Willow and she is a year older than me. Your english is very good by the way.The school still hasn’t separated boys and girls yet but it is quite enjoyable watching the boys fight. Yes, I know, you think that seeing fighting is spoiling me. Really it’s not, I am studying 7 hours a day. The school is colossal with turrets shooting out of the ceiling. I’m guessing that they store dead people there. I also love both of you dearly.

Kind regards,

Jade

I know, my handwriting is pretty curvy and all that. But my parents forced me to write like that.

It’s been 3 days since Willow spoke to me and I’m starting to think that she doesn’t want to be my friend after all.

But look, I’ve got a letter back from my parents with a ten pound note.

Dear my darling Jade,

My English is exquisite and I’m aware of that. However, I am quite very aggrieved with you due to your handwriting and english, it is impossible to put my eyes on your letter. It seems like you scribble some letters onto it. Furthermore, you even used contractions. Once you come home for the summer, your father will punish you and you deserve it. You will not be seen looking at fighting boys and I will ask one of the teachers to keep an eye on you. Please improve your handwriting. It disgusts me.

Au revoir

Mère

By the way guys, au revoir and mere mean bye and mother in french. Looks like I’m not gonna have a good summer next year. I’ve tried different handwriting styles to see which one looks better.

I wrote all of them down on a piece of paper from 1-15.

I am definitely going with No. 4.
