Chapter 2

The Incident of 1610

The Incident of 1610 is long-disputed as the cause of the 1612 Goblin Rebellion. It all started on October 8th, 1610 when in the underground Goblin City, there was a raid. The raid was led by the then Commander of the Youkin Army, Cerdic. The Youkins themselves were a group of castles lead by the then King Uber Youkin. They had said that the Goblins had overtaken some of their land, and that it rightly belonged to them. When the Goblins refused to give back the land, they came and tried to raid the Goblin City and force them to give it back.

The Goblin Hagna (Commander), Zygmunt III, immediatly ordered Goblin soldiers to go and fight the invaders. Cerdic only had an army of 100 men, but their weapons were much more advanced then the Goblin's puny magic and swords. As the Goblin defences fell near the front gate of the Goblin City, Cedric came to one of the posts which were used to communicate to the centeral HQ and yelled, "You filthy green pieces of snot, that's what your race is!" This was magnified throughout the Goblin City.

The Goblin's were infuriated and tried to fight back but were all slain. In the end, Zygmunt was publically executed in front of the whole Goblin kingdom to see. The Goblins who tried to fight back and save him were all killed in the end. Before Cerdic beheaded Zygmunt, he said this to the whole Goblin kingdom, "This is why your race will never be superior then ours. Watch your leaders die!" After Zygmunt's execution, it is said that Cerdic and his army took children and women slaves to their castles. The worldwide Goblin community was full of rage at the human community because of this, and they launched a counter-attack towards the Youkin Kingdom, but were stopped by the Magic Council. This siege, war, and attack became known as the Incident of 1610, and thus the point in which the Goblin Rebellions of 1612 officially began.
