Occulmency- Continued
Chapter 6
"It is sooner or later before she and Harry will have access to Voldemort's mind. Or the other way round."
"So...you want me to teach both of them Occulmency now?"
"Yes. The earlier, the better." Then they heard footsteps coming down.
"Quick, run!" Shouted Lucinda. She didn't want Snape to know they were listening. However, she said it a bit too loud.
"Who is down there?"
"Ron and Hermione, just go. Harry and I can hold him up." Whispered Lucinda. Ron and Hermione dashed off, just before Snape came.
"Lucinda," said Snape, with his usual questioning expression, "And Potter." He added, turning his head towards Harry. "What are you two doing here, when you should be with the rest of the students? "
"Professor Snape, Harry and I are both here to see Professor Dumbledore." Said Lucinda politely. Lucinda was getting very nervous now. She doesn't know whether Snape would believe that they didn't hear anything about the talk they overheard.
"Ahh, I see. I just thought it would've been better to consult another teacher, perhaps? Before you go and find the headmaster?"
"Eh, yes, of course." She quickly improvised. This was the worse kind of situation she had thought of. "But Harry and I have discussed about it and thought it would be better to consult Professor Dumbledore."
"Then you should go and ask Professor Dumbledore about your-important stuff." He emphasized on the words important and gave Harry a nasty look before going off.
"Do you think we should still ask Dumbledore about the voices? Now that we've heard what they've said?" Asked Harry.
"Yes, I think so. Just in case Snape asks Dumbledore what we asked him about. Otherwise he'd know we've been listening." So Harry and Lucinda went into Dumbledore's office, although Dumbledore didn't tell them much about it.
"Draco, do you know what is Occulmency?" Asked Lucinda in the Slytherin common room, an hour later. She was looking everywhere for information about what Occulmency is. "I can't find it anywhere."
"Occulmency...donno. Where did you hear about it?"
"Snape" Said Lucinda as she continued looking for anything about Occulmency in a giant book. "Do you reckon it's some kind of dark magic? Since it's not anywhere."
"Or it can just be really rare. Why do you want to know about it this badly?" Asked Draco. Lucinda hesitated before she answered. She thought it would be safe for him to know.
"Dumbledore wants Snape to teach me and Potter Occulmency because of Voldemort." Said Lucinda, who finally stopped looking at the book to look at Draco.
"Isn't he dead though, the Dark Lord?"
"Of course he can return, can't he? And why do you call him the Dark Lord? Only Death Eaters call him that."
"If you've forgotten, my dad's one."
"Oh yeah. Forgot that your dad works for my real father." murmured Lucinda. She had intended Draco to hear the last bit.
"Your FATHER??? " Shouted Draco, suddenly standing up. "You can't be right..."
"Well, I only found out just then. Overheard Dumbledore and Snape."
"I have to tell my father about this!" He said as he walked off.
