She walked through the Great Hall and found that everyone was staring at her. Some people were whispering things like "Is it really her? The girl who lived? " and "So she's the Slytherin heir? Looks more like a Hufflepuff to me. " Then Professor Dumbledore said "Silence, please. As you may have known, we will be having a new student joining us. We will sort her into her house first then we may let the feast begin." And he looked at her gesturing me to come up. She looked nervous and walked towards the stall. She had heard her mother tell her about the houses "Oh I'm sure you'll be sorted into Gryffindor, Gryffindor is the best house. Don't worry if you get sorted into another house. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be sorted in Slytherin, though." However, She didn't really like the idea of being sorted into Gryffindor. She didn't like this bravery thing. She also didn't like Hufflepuff, too kind, or Ravenclaw, just boring, which leaves her with Slytherin. Professor McGonagall put the Sorting hat on her head.

"Um...Difficult, very difficult. Yes very, very brave. Ooh, a lot of intelligence there. A tint of kindness. Aha, I know where to put you, you are just like your ancestors...SLYTHERIN!!"

She was rather happy at the house she was sorted in to and walked towards the Slytherin table. "Hello." She said to a blonde boy sitting next to her.

"Hello" He replied.

"I'm Lucinda Slytherin. And you are?"

"Malfoy. Draco Malfoy."

Afterwards, she sent a letter to them telling them that she has been sorted into Slytherin. She got a reply almost immediately:

I'm pretty sure that the Sorting Hat will not be wrong. Yes, I do agree with the Sorting Hat that you are rather alike your ancestors. Your father and I were all Gryffindors and so were everyone else in our family, but I suppose it was nice to have a change. I heard that you have made friends with a Malfoy? Is that right? If it is, I would like to warn you, that the Malfoys aren't very kind. They are supporters of You-Know-Who. Just don't get too close with Slytherins. Gryffindors make pretty good friends and so are Hufflepuffs. Anyway, this is just an advice. You  can ignore it if you want. And of course, we are all different so you might find that you get on quiet well with Slytherins. Just don't get too close with Malfoy.

However, Lucinda knew that she was going to ignore what they say about Malfoy, because firstly, they are Gryffindors, Secondly, she has a terrible crush on Draco Malfoy.
