The easiest and most useful of the Dark Arts are the Unforgivable Curses. There are 3 Unforgivable Curses. They are the Cruciatus Curse, Imperius Curse and, of course, the Killing Curse. If the Ministry of Magic finds out that you have been using Unforgivable Curses, it is a life-long stay in Azkaban, but that's only if they find out. I will be teaching you the 3 Unforgivable Curses to you today. And just before I tell you anything else, remember that one must desire to cause pain or desire to control or kill the opponent in order to cast the spell effectively.

Cruciatus Curse

incantation: Crucio (CR-u-ci-o)

willpower: very high

concentration: none

Imperius Curse

incantation: Imperio (Im-PE-ri-o)

willpower: extremely high

concentration: low

Killing Curse:

Incantation: Avada Kedavra (AVA-da KE-dav-ra)

willpower: medium

concentration: none

Note that it is best not to practice the killing curse on a student. Do it on an animal, such as a spider.
