That made him the Chosen One. Harry himself possesses the qualities you would need to defeat Voldemort. He had courage, he was brave, he was loyal, and he was kind. He was a great guy, and he was perfect for defeating Voldemort. On the day that the time came to stand up to Voldemort, he was ready to give his life to save the world from Voldemort. He could have gone into hiding and lived a long life, but instead he was prepared to die to save his friends and Hogwarts. That is true loyalty.
