For my Muggle-born friends who are fans of F.R.I.E.N.D.S., and for my wizarding world comrades who loved the popular Muggle TV show, I am aware that the month of October had a heartbreaking shock for you. Our beloved, talented, top-rated actor, Matthew Perry, who we better know as the worldwide fan-favorite character, the hilarious Chandler Bing, from the iconic sitcom, F.R.I.E.N.D.S., was found dead in a hot tub, possibly of drowning, at his home in LA on October 28. His fellow celebrities and fans across the world were immensely saddened by the incident. It was a Saturday in the year 2023, and our favorite star, Matthew Perry, was 54. Of course, his tragic demise wasn't accepted well, and the official cause of Perry's death is still being investigated. Many fans have speculated about conspiracy theories, questioning the real reason behind the tragedy, suggesting suspicion of foul-play. In the book "Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing: A Memoir" authored by the actor himself, Matthew Perry opened up about his struggles in the industry, due to corruption and exploitation, and his personal battles with addiction, mental health problems and abusive relationships. The commendable actor who catapulted to fame for portraying the sarcastic Chandler Bing for 10 long years throughout 10 seasons containing 236 episodes, from 1994 to 2004, has been battling drug-abuse and other vices for quite some time and declared that he spent a large part of his personal life in various rehabs. However, he also stated that his attempts at rehabilitation were quite successful in the past few years. Prescription medications for anxiety and depression and drugs for the health condition, COPD, were retrieved from his residence. None of the drugs discovered were, however, illegal. A comprehensive toxicology test is still probing if these drugs contributed to his untimely passing away. The final report on the real cause of the unfortunate incident hasn't been established yet. The great actor was also known for his humorous one-liners directed at himself, which bore remarkably impressive resemblance to the personality traits of the character he portrayed. He was a legend who inspired many and was inseparable from his memorable character, Chandler Bing, who will continue to live on in the hearts of millions, forever.
