The sun beamed down on Snowflake as she slowly started to wake up. She heard the crackling of her food pellets hitting her metal food bowl and decided to get up. As she walked she could feel the cold floor against her feet. She dipped her head down to eat and, as usual her food was dry and bland. As Snowflake ate she wondered how a mouse would taste. 

“Well certainly better than this.” thought Snowflake.

“Hey!” came a voice from the corner of the room.

“You’re finally up! You slept forever!!”

“Oh sorry Midnight.”

“Not a problem Snowflake.”

“So did anything happen while I was asleep?”

“No….”

“That’s good”

“Are you going to eat that?” said midnight

“ No, why?…”

“Thanks!”

“Um, you’re welcome.”

“Jake, do you ever wonder what they’re saying?”

“Sometimes Mandy. Come on let’s go eat our cereal before it gets soggy.”

“Ok.” said Mandy

Snowflake stretched her legs and walked away, tail pointed and head high. 

“Where are you going?”

“The garden, wanna come?”

“Oh, no thanks.” said Midnight.

“Ok, suit yourself.”

As Snowflake walked out the familiar smells of the garden filled her nose. She walked over to her favorite place to sit, a square stump the same hight as the fence.

Hours passed and Snowflake finally went inside and laid down on her soft bed. She soon drifted off to sleep. Snowflake found herself in a forest and was chasing a mouse when a strange voice called out, “Moonpaw, join me join me.”It somehow sounded familiar, but Snowflake wasn’t quit sure why….

“Snowflake……Snowflake!!”

“Huh, what….?”

“Snowflake you were talking in your sleep. Oh by the way, who’s Darkpaw?”

“I don’t know…”

Snowflake was becoming nervous because the dream repeated again and again and even if she pushed it out of her mind it came back, like a tune stuck in your head that you just can’t forget. 

“Snowflake come inside. It’s getting dark.” said Midnight

“Ok”
