A Complete Guide to the Wizarding World
This textbook, written by Avendium Acheron, Phellus Plegethon, Luna Lethe, Cirus Coctyus, and Seripha Styx, is an amalgamation of topics from the Wizarding world. Some Muggle topics are also included, but Muggles are not the primary topic of a Wizarding textbook. Please use this textbook responsibly. Being a Complete guide to the Wizarding World also means that it contains both Legal, ministry-approved topics, and illegal topics, so the use or intended use of information marked with “URI” (Unaproved / Restricted Information) may result in a punishment from a simple fine and up to a life sentence at Azkaban. Avendium has also included a number of Charms and enchantments attached to the pages of this book, allowing for a greater educational experience.

Wand Cores
Chapter 6
None of the primary writers has major experience in the Wand-Making industry, so the following texts have been written by one of the many Sub-Authors, named Elania Blackthorn, who does have many years of experience with wand-making.
The core of a wand is a magical substance that was placed inside the wood. These materials are usually extracted from magical creatures, although some wands have been created from non-bestial substances. The core of a wand enhances the wand’s magical capability or even special abilities.
Although there are hundreds of thousands of different wand cores, certain Wandmakers, like Garrick Ollivander, prefer certain cores over others. Garrick Ollivander discovered what is commonly known as “Supreme Cores” - Unicorn Tail Hair, Dragon Heartstring, and Pheonix Feathers.
While I agree with the notion of the three Supreme Cores, I believe that a talented wandmaker should never be restricted to such a minuscule number of cores. I use just about every core that I have information over. I’ve made wands with Thestral Hair, Kneazle Whiskers, Fairy Wings… Well, like I said, I work with any core.
